A founding member of Arnold Gallagher, Roger Saydack recently returned to the firm after seven years on the Executive Team of PeaceHealth in Oregon where he served first as Vice President for Legal Affairs and later as Vice President for Strategy, Innovation and Development, and then as Chief Operating Officer and Administrator of Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. Roger’s practice has emphasized business transactions and acquisitions, business and estate planning, real estate and now health care law. His clients range from the largest privately held companies in Oregon to start-up ventures, as well as hospitals and health care systems, medical groups, physicians and business owners.
Among his many civic activities, Roger has been nationally recognized for his leadership of Music Director searches for the Eugene Symphony Orchestra, he taught the Business Planning course at the University of Oregon School of Law for twenty years, he currently serves on the Board of Directors of PacificSource and has previously served on the Boards of Directors of PeaceHealth, the Oregon Region of PeaceHealth, Lane Transit District, and Trillium Collaborative Care Organization. Roger was honored by the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce as Eugene’s First Citizen in 2006 in recognition of his business and civic service.
Roger has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Oregon Super Lawyers and is rated AV Pre-eminent (5.0 out of 5.0) by Martindale Hubbell.
Roger received his undergraduate degree from Oakland University in 1971 where he was a University Scholar and his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1980 where he was an editor of the Oregon Law Review.
