William R. Potter
Bill Potter has practiced real estate and business law in Eugene since 1978 and joined the firm in 2001. Bill’s real estate practice includes development, sales and purchases, and all types of leasing. He deals with timber, agriculture, shopping centers, escrow and title matters, financing, and tax-deferred exchanges. His business practice includes mergers and acquisitions, business formations and planning, financing, and general business matters. Bill has extensive experience assisting closely-held family businesses, particularly with succession planning.
Bill is listed in The Best Lawyers in America. He was an adjunct professor at the University of Oregon School of Law, where he taught business planning. He has conducted multiple seminars on real estate and business law issues.
Bill received his undergraduate degree from Oregon State University in 1975. He earned his law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1978, where he was Phi Kappa Phi and elected to the Order of the Coif.
