Commercial Litigation
In our general civil litigation practice, we represent clients in all phases of litigation, including arbitration, administrative hearings, and civil trials in the state and federal courts. We have extensive experience initiating and defending appeals before the Oregon Court of Appeals, the Oregon Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Our firm also regularly practices alternative dispute resolution, including settlement negotiations and conferences, arbitrations, and mediations.
Our clients include individuals and businesses in various industries, including manufacturing, construction, insurance, timber, real estate, technology, finance, and leasing. We regularly represent clients in matters involving breach of contract, collections, foreclosures, trade secrets, and unfair business practices. Because our lawyers have experience in both business transactions and litigation, we are able to provide customized and comprehensive representation to our business clients.
We also routinely handle disputes related to property boundaries, real estate development, land titles, land transfers, deeds of trust or mortgage foreclosures, and other matters. In addition, we assist clients in all aspects of construction litigation, including the foreclosure of construction liens, defective workmanship, and defective design and materials.
Our employment litigation lawyers assist clients with discrimination, noncompete and employment agreements, nondisclosure agreements, bad faith terminations, and whistle blowing in administrative hearings and appeals, as well as in civil trials in the state and federal courts.
Finally, we represent medical professionals in defending medical malpractice claims, insurance companies in suits involving medical malpractice, and others in dealing with personal injuries, products liability, property damages, and homeowner coverage disputes.
